Have you attended StepONE? *
If not, please head to www.gatherasheville.org/stepone to register and attend after service in-person this month.
What role(s) are you interested in? *
*You do not need to have previous experience and can be trained in any area. All GKIDS roles require a background check. CHECK-IN: First impressions are important! As a member of our check-in team, you would play an extremely important, multi-faceted role by warmly greeting our GKids families, providing directions, answering simple questions, ensuring families feel at home and comfortable with our environments, and aiding the check-in process. BABIES AND TODDLERS: In the baby and toddler classrooms, little ones learn that they are loved, and that church is a safe environment. HOSTS FOR PRE-SCHOOL OR ELEMENTARY: As a host, you will welcome and introduce the different elements of the large group service, as well as keep the service on track. You will be given a script to follow, and you are encouraged to use your creative talents to generate enthusiasm and engage the children in the lesson. Currently our hosts also serve as small group leaders. SMALL GROUP LEADERS FOR PRE-SCHOOL OR ELEMENTARY: Our GKids Small Group Leaders are truly the foundation of our ministry. They build strong, loving relationships with the children. If you are a small group leader, we ask you that you serve twice a month to create a true sense of community with your small group. You will help children understand God’s Word so that it will strengthen their faith journey. You will meet with your group to facilitate a guided lesson and encourage relationships through discussion and interactive activities. SGLs lead small groups during the same service each week. FLOATERS: As a member of our floater team, you help keep GKIDS a safe place for both our kids and our leaders. This team "floats" in the GKIDS lobby and hallway to greet kids and families, help classroom leaders get parents if their child needs them, helps make sure bathrooms are clear of adults prior to kids entering them, and helps keep the GKIDS area secure.
How often are you available to serve? *
We ask that all GKids Dream Team members serve at least twice a month. Consistency is our Superpower! When we show up regularly in the lives of kids, we build trust, establish connections, and open doors for eternity-shaping ministry moments. We understand that the magic happens not just in the grand gestures but in the day-to-day moments. We show up. By being a consistent presence, we become more than teachers or leaders—we become trusted guides on a life-long journey of faith.
